On this episode of Podcraft, I’m talking to Brett McKay, who is Founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Art of Manliness. The Art of Manliness is a site I’ve been following for years, and Brett’s turned it into one of the biggest men’s destinations on the web with over 10 million views every month.
But it’s not just the blog, the brand feels like its everywhere, with a huge podcast – over 300 episodes – a YouTube channel with close to a million subscribers, published books and a great range of merchandise. It’s got the lot. Plus, of course, a Podcast app! But we’ll get to that below.
And as if that wasn’t enough, it’s not all work for Brett. He’s a huge proponent of balance, and family life is a huge thing for him. It’s an inspiration to me how he runs such a successful business, but still manages to carve out that quality time with his wife and kids.

I talked to Brett about the thinking behind that, what makes it stand out from it’s competitors and what the future plans are for the app.
