When & How to Change Your Podcast Name or Branding | Podcraft 810

Hosted by: Colin Gray

Colin has been teaching people how to podcast since 2007. He's worked with Universities, businesses and hobbyists alike. He started The Podcast Host to share his experience and to help as many people as possible get into Podcasting. He runs Podcraft, to spread the art of podcasting, and does the Mountain Bikes Apart podcast whenever he can. Who doesn't like to talk bikes, after all!

This week, I'm (Colin) doing solo show answering a question that came up in The Podcast Host Academy community forum. One of our members is finding his original podcast brand and concept a little limiting. It's a common thing – we start out in quite a niche subject, and end up wanting to branch out a little. Or perhaps we just discover that there's something slightly different worth talking about.

Either way, when and how would we go about changing the podcast brand to accomodate this, from the general idea to the name of the show itself. Find out my thoughts on this week's show!

This episode is sponsored by Podbean. Podbean is one of the longest running podcast hosts on the market, and offers a range of packages, from free up to enterprise level. They also provide tools for podcasters, whether you host with them or not, from a sponsorship marketplace to their Patron system, tailored towards podcast monetisation.
