earn with Alitu

Are you an established podcaster or someone who works in the podcasting industry? Do you get a lot of questions from aspiring creators about how to start, as well as what mic, software, and hosting service to use?

As podcasters, it’s in our nature to want to help new folks. To point them in the right direction and steer them clear of the pitfalls and mistakes we made ourselves in those early days.

But there’s only so much time in the day. And if teaching podcasting isn’t your North Star Goal, this can pull you off on a side quest that eats into your primary content output.

If you want to pivot and become a podcast coach, then all power to you. But if you’d like to stay on track with your primary mission while still helping those around you, we have a solution.

By partnering with us as an Alitu affiliate, you can point folks in our direction, safe in the knowledge that they’ll be in the best possible hands. On top of that, you’ll earn a recurring 20% commission for each person who signs up. That means you’ll get a percentage of their membership fee, monthly, for as long as they’re a member.

At Alitu, we have everything they need to help them get set up, not only to launch their podcast but to grow one that thrives.

Alitu is one single software for recording, editing, producing, and hosting podcasts. It’s designed with simplicity, automation, and efficiency in mind, making it perfect for newbies, non-techy folks, and people short on time.

Gone are the days of learning the ins and outs of Compression, EQ, and Noise Reduction. Alitu simply does it for you. Complex DAW editing interfaces are replaced by a clean and intuitive interface that makes cutting, editing, and arranging segments a breeze.

Alitu has a free music library, auto-generates transcriptions, and you can upload, publish, and distribute your podcast from directly within the interface, too.

We also have education, training, and support in place for our customers. We don’t just want folks to easily start their podcast; we want to enable them to keep going. And without the overwhelm and expense of multiple tools, logins, and subscriptions, we genuinely believe we’re the best place for new podcasters to create their future.

So if you’d like to earn passive income whilst helping the next generation of podcasters find their voice, be sure to join us as an Alitu partner today.

And, once approved, we want you to get the most out of this partnership, so we’ve compiled this handy guide to help get you up and running.

How to Promote Alitu in Your Content

Here, you’ll find the various ways we recommend for promoting Alitu in a valuable and non-salesy way.

Ready to dive in? Let’s get started…

Run Podcast Ads

Many content creators use affiliate schemes to create ‘sponsors’ for their episodes, videos, or newsletters.

The main difference between this and traditional sponsorship is that it’s based on referral conversions.

Affiliate marketing can be especially beneficial to shows with smaller audiences. Many advertisers will only work with podcasts if their new episodes hit a few thousand downloads within 30 days of release.

With traditional sponsorship, you only get paid for the episodes you run ads on. But when you’ve got affiliate-based ads throughout your back catalogue, they can keep making you money continuously.

By using an affiliate scheme as your “sponsor”, there’s no real limit on how much you can earn either.

The key here is to run ad reads that really resonate with your listeners. Present the problem to them, and then propose the solution.

Remember, too, that putting real-life examples based on your own experiences can lead to a much higher conversion rate. Your listeners know, like, and trust you, after all.

Here’s an example of an effective host-read ad for Alitu. Obviously, you’ll know your audience more than anyone else, though, and you can tweak or completely overhaul these examples accordingly…

Alitu – Host Read Ad Example

“One of the best things I ever did was start this podcast. It’s led to the many life-changing conversations we’ve had on the show so far, and the amazing community that’s formed around it.

Podcasting really is a fantastic medium, and the beauty of it is that you can podcast about literally anything. Whatever your passion, whatever your business – there’s a group of people out there waiting to hear from you.

If you’re looking to start your own podcast, though, is one of the biggest things holding you back the tech? Editing and production can be a huge learning curve, after all.

Fortunately, these days, you don’t need to become an audio engineer to run a great-sounding show.

If you head on over to YourPodcastWebsiteURL.com/alitu – that’s a-l-i-t-u, you’ll find a great little web app designed to make processing, editing and publishing super-easy.

Alitu lets you create a podcast without knowing the slightest thing about audio production.

You start by recording your episode inside Alitu, either an online call or a solo recording. Once you’ve finished, Alitu does the Compression, Levelling, Noise Reduction, and all the other things needed to get your audio sounding great.

Then, you can jump into Alitu’s editing tools – offering you top and tail functions, plus the ability to remove any mistakes from your audio.

Once that’s done, the episode builder lets you piece together as many clips as you need, from solo segments and ads, to listener call-ins and sound effects. Then, it’ll add your theme music automatically at the start and end.

Alitu automatically generates episode transcripts for you, and you can publish and distribute your show across the web through its very own hosting feature, too.

That means you’ve one single login and subscription to record, edit, and publish your show to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and at least one hundred other apps.

So don’t let editing and production get in the way of sharing your message with the world. Get started with Alitu on the monthly plan of $38,or there’s the annual plan that gives you two free months at $380. You get a seven-day free trial with either plan, too, so dive in and give it a shot.

Head on over to MyPodcastWebsiteURL.com/alitu to get started. That’s MyPodcastWebsiteURL.com /a-l-i-t-u.”

When to read ads

An advert might appear at the very beginning of an episode, the very end, or somewhere in between. These three slots are known as:

  1. Pre-Roll – before the content starts
  2. Mid-Roll – during the main content of the episode
  3. Post-Roll – after the content has finished

Mid-roll is the most desired and effective spot, as listeners are less likely to skip this content. Post-roll is the least optimal position for an ad.

You can do all three if your episodes last at least 15 minutes. Here, you’d make the Pre and Post reads much shorter, whilst the full info would feature in the Mid-Roll.

If your episodes are shorter than 15 minutes, you may only want to do a Mid-Roll. Of course, there are no “rules”. It’s always about striking a balance between mentioning a product enough that it piques your listener’s interest, but not so much that it becomes annoying or pushy.

Make it easy for them!

In the host read ad examples, we mentioned the example URL YourPodcastWebsiteURL.com/alitu

Obviously, your own URL would take its place in your ad reads. The main thing is to create something easy to read, say, and remember. For this, we recommend a plugin called Pretty Links, which makes creating memorable links quick and easy.

Pretty Links also enables you to track how many folks are taking notice of your calls to action, and it’ll come in handy for all sorts of other content creation purposes, too.

Write a Blog Post

Another way you can profit from affiliate sponsorship is to create written content.

Of course, this shouldn’t be one big advert for whatever you’re recommending. Nobody’s going to read an advert.

For this to work, you need to write something interesting and relevant to your audience. Something that they’ll even want to share with others.

Again, you will know your own audience more than anyone. But here’s an example of something you could try.

Let’s say you run a model rail podcast called ‘The Great Big Toy Train Show’.

You can create a blog post titled “How to Make a Podcast Like the Great Big Toy Train Show’.

Or, something like, “How to Make a Model Railway Podcast’.

You can then talk through your tips, based on your own experiences, and add in any affiliate links as tools you recommend. Be sure to explain exactly what they are and why you recommend them. Obviously, this only forms a small basis of the blog post as a whole, but it’s still important information for the reader.

A slightly different approach would be opting for a post titled ‘Best Model Railway Podcasts’. Here, you’d talk the reader through your favourite shows and include a section on your own podcast, too. As an aside, this can be great promotion for you, as these roundups are often shared by everyone mentioned.

The affiliate icing, though, is to include a ‘want to make your own?’ section as your Call to Action at the end. Here, you can link to any tools, products, or services you recommend that will help get them up and running.

Other Content Ideas

Here are some other ways to create interesting and useful content to promote Alitu.

And remember, these work as blog posts, podcast episodes, or videos, and could easily be both long from content, or short-form on social, such as Reels, Shorts or similar.

A Guide to Using Alitu – Talk your listener through its many useful features. Show them how it’ll solve their pain points.

Reviewing Alitu – A straight-up review would cover things like what it’s for, who it’s for, how it works, and how much it costs.

Comparisons – You can make a head-to-head or “Vs” comparison between Alitu and a similar product.

Lists – These can be made from a collection of resources, apps, or services you use, recommend, and enjoy. For Alitu, you might do something like “My Top Content Creation Time-Saving Tools”.

Case Studies – A case study would be a personalised account of how you’ve used Alitu and how it has helped you. Here, you’d answer questions like What made you start using it? What did you want to achieve? And How did you get on with it?

Create a Resources Page

Having a ‘Resources’ page on your website is good practice.

Here, you can link to all your favourite products, tools, and resources – some of which will be affiliates.

Resource pages are often one of the most visited you’ll find on podcast websites. You can mention this page on your show each time you stumble across something new, too.
